    Post by BlackRain

ok so heres what i see i hate extremists of all kinds especially christian extremists i am a christian and am proud to say i don't go to church every sunday and i admit my sins christianity is not as close minded as people think i am very proud and so is god i believe in the principal "judge not lest thou be judged" i follow it as my own mantra my brothers tho not by blood we are brothers two are odinistic and one is agnostic just because you are of a different religion does not mean you have to be enemys look at the person not there religion extremists cloud the views of others and sets bad examples for every religion including my own we messed up pretty bad but so has everyone else muslims odinistics jews hindus were all the same some extremist set up a bad image and now we hate everyone who is different im one of the few people who is trying to spread the word being gay isn't a sin if you unsure and uncertin what god to follow God doesn't hate you and if you agree spread the word of respect and tolorance for all

Wow. That would of been easier to read if it was not one long run on sentence.

Also, homosexuality is a sin. If you'd like I can quote Bible Verses backing that status up? Unless you believe that the Bible is too extreme for Christianity, perhaps?

We've talked about this countless times on WOTN~

Yes, practicing homosexuality is a sin. However: A) We Christians believe you don't have to live that life. That God has given you an escape in him and you don't have to feel like you're different and unclean.
    B) All have sinned, and that means gays too. But just like we have all sinned, that doesn't mean homosexuals are especially sinful, just that they are in behavior that is pretty dangerous. And by the way, being a practicing homosexual is dangerous. To your health. The average out of the closet homosexual lives to be 43. Not due to hate Crimes, mind you. Just most die of STD's. Only 2% of straight non drug abuses have AIDS. Most of these got it from having sex with drug abusers. That means almost all the other people who have AIDS are in the homosexual community.

So, yeah. We care not only about your soul, but about your emotional well being and Health. And we think it's best that you don't do it and our beliefs clearly say it isn't right. Am I being judgmental? Sure. If I see a guy get cheated out of money, I'll also say the cheater did wrong. It doesn't really matter what kind of wrong it is, it's just wrong? Does that mean I go beating homosexuals with crosses? Naw~ As long as you don't feel like you have an 'imagined' right to marriage and you recognize I don't have to agree with you, then do what you want. I'll tolerate it even if I disagree with it. Much like I tolerate Dr. Pepper love though I can't fathom why it exists.

If you believe the Bible, then you have your answer. You just have to ask yourself: Do you want to believe in what God says, or be politically correct and compassionate by the world's standards?

I was pretty interested in reading this...Until I glanced at it and realized that there was not one period in the entire 8 line paragraph ^^

Q - Dr Pepper love should not be tolerated. It should be crushed under our bootheels.

I'm going to assume, by Odinistics, you are reffering to Norse Recon?

Anyways, there's a difference between hating someone for performing whatever sin, and protesting it as such in many of the various protests you find with picket signs and outside the local Wal-Mart or city building. Then there's those who can at least be tolerant. They'll state that they're not fond of whatever practice, and be satisfied that they said their piece. (Is it sad that whenever I try to spell piece, I know where to put the I because I picture Luffy next to the P?)

I'm not a Christian, and that alone would make most wish to convert me, to save my soul from eternal damnation. Personally, the whole thing makes me rather uncomfortable, but I do not go bashing them in front of their face. Personally, I have great respect for the faith, and the few handful of followers that I do have respect for, that are knowledgeable about their faith, and able to speak it without losing their head. (Q and Ama, here, don't really know the rest of you all to have that for y'all.)

I understand their faith well enough to know that they are doing this out of kindness, and I respect that. I am quite respectable in my way of claiming I am no longer a part of the faith, and I am full well aware of what would happen, should in the long run, I be wrong.

As far as the sins however, you have to remember that it was written by man who have heard from God, and some are things that were "witnessed" by some of the people who wrote it. It's a collection of stories that is used to show the faith. It's a combination of Yeshua's teachings, as well as other things that were at the time believed.

Yeshua taught to love thy neighbor, yes? Well, who's to say that this love can't be expressed the same way I mentioned earlier? Surely, the people at the church who asked me to speak the Sinner's Prayer, had the best intentions in mind. But I respectfully turned it down, and they accepted that, but asked that I'd think it over, fair enough, yes?

I should stop before I continue rambling...

no you make a good point, my friends who worship the old norse gods, if i ask them to say a prayer they will look at me as an annoyance and say some harsh things. they have to much pride to the point of hipocracy. i ask do you respect my religion and they say yes and then turn around when an adult ask them to and the abuse them...and their respect for me isn't assured they say as long as i don't start preaching they won't be disrespectful yet they know im fine with them worshiping their gods,i don't think they are damned i think they will change when their older but if not i respect their choice. sometimes Brice my unbiological brother will just let loose a string of blasphemy infront of me, well i get annoyed and diss his gods and he gets mad and i remind him of what he said and he says it doesn't matter *sigh* sometimes i don't know what to do he is very tempermental im sometimes afraid of a physical confrontation i don't wanna fight him not out of fear of injury just respect for my friend i am in a very stressful position
