"The Wind Message (Valentine Air)" - Febuary 24, 2007

The wind blows throughout the town
Just making leaves rustle, not making a sound
But the wind sends a message, a quiet one indeed
The message is hard to follow and read
I go outside, the sky darkening
To see the mystery message, my mind winding
I follow the wind, a path it makes
To lead me to someone at the main gate
The figure just stands there, not even looking up
But a fast move he makes, making me jump
He throws his head up, making it visible to see
Who this mysterious person might be
We didn't move, just standing we did
The sun started rising, the sky vivid
I walked foward, he did the same
All I wanted was his name
But a name I didn't get, a phrase was given
He said it quick, his words not living
All was clear as the wind sent me the message
"I love you" was the message given
Years have passed, the boy not seen again
But he sends me his messages, through wind, not pain

"The Clock Is Ticking" - March 10, 2007

You gaze at the wall, so haunting and creepy
Tick, tock, tick, tock, the clock is crying
You could hear voices, neverending screeching
Then there are the voices of dying

Tick, tock, tick, tock, the clock is screaming
The war goes on, bombs are flying
You hear the men, all are fleeing
Then there are the voices of dying

Tick, tock, tick, tock the clock is slowing
The war is over, and happiness roams
The men of the war are showing
That they are happy to be home

"Listen Now, And Listen Good" - June 3, 2007

    Listen now, and listen good
I'm gonna go because I know I should
No matter how dark or cruel it may be
There's always someone looking after me
Even though I've been threatened twice
I'm not giving up, and I'm not playing nice
I know I sound over confindent to you
But I have hope in the things that I do
He's going to die, very fast, very soon
And he's going to meet his sudden doom

I may not have any weapons or magic and such
But all I have to do is stay hushed

    I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself
But I do not have a name, and I'm only twelve.
People call me Quiet, people call me Lasher.
But I assure you, my name's not Quiet Lasher.

I have a few friends, odd indeed
Because they can all do magic, you see
I've tried doing magic, gotten little prevail.
But I am sure we are not going to fail.
So listen now, and listen good
We're going to war, because we know we should.

    "Tears To Shed" - June 12, 2007

Trees are shaking, grass is swaying
Kids are crying, parents are praying
Rain hit the ground, sharply hitting the skin
Of all the people that just had to sin
Horrible weather followed all but one kid
The one kid that always hid
He's hidden from people much larger that him
Because he is small and he is slim
People ignored this poor, innocent child
But now all those people are going wild
Running from lightning, runnning from rain
Now they all had to feel his pain

At the end of the storm, many were dead
All the survivors had tears to shed
The kid felt alone once again
But he had no one that died in the rain
He had no family, he had no friends
He had no tears that he could shed

My favorite is, The Clock Is Ticking, Abby.

I like it! (Not the war, no, but the ending) I'm glad you made it joyous because I always hate when people end off poems tragically with someone dying or the like. Such a downer!

    Thanks ^^

    "Good-Bye" - December 27, 2007

    Dogs howling out of key.
    Broken cups filled with tea.
    Drums pounding out of time.
    Piggybanks filled with rusty dimes.

    Snowflakes melting at the touch.
    Children getting colds too much.
    Freezing rain piercing skin.
    Ghosts floating around old inns.

Tears that never reach the floor.
    Dying people at your door.
Misty clouds float through the sky.
After all this, I say good-bye.
